Hello! It's been a little while since our last update and as usual a lot has been going on behind the scenes here at Uneak HQ! We've finally added our page numbers system, which many of our customers had requested, so this now makes navigating through the collections much easier and faster. We've also changed our rotating time of day style backgrounds, to a simple grey leaf pattern to signify the autumn season. It's not as colourful as the old backgrounds but a lot less distracting we're told! We're currently working on a complete face lift for the boutique which will take us from the current vivid royal blue theme to softer shades of silver grey. The new look site should be up and running by the end of November and we'll send an email out to all of our customers to re-launch the website.

As for new additions to the site, our Sale section and Clearance departments have grown considerably and there's some great bargains to be had, perfect for saving a few pounds on your Christmas shopping! We've also showcased the new Fiorelli Costume Jewellery Winter Collection this month, which features some absolutely gorgeous pieces. Glittering, sultry and shimmering, there are some great party designs at fabulous prices so well worth a look! There's going to be lots more Fiorelli designs going on over the next few weeks as well as additions to our new low cost everyday silver range and as always the best place to find all of the latest designs is in the New Arrivals area. With December fast approaching we're busier than ever, so much to do and so little time! Our advice is, avoid the queues and the chaos, put your feet up, make a cosy cuppa and order online! Only 40 sleeps to go!!

Hello on this lovely autumnal afternoon! Seems like we've not had much of a summer this year but a warm and sunny autumn is in store. Better late than never eh?! Anyway we've made some great changes to the site this month based on some of our customer feedback. We've added a fantastic new menu bar so customers can search for items by gender and the new menu also features all of our most visited pages including our Sale Offers, New Arrivals and our Clearance sections. We have also added a 'Shop By' feature so customers can choose to shop by Collection, Type, Colour, Gemstone or Style. All of these changes are designed to make the Uneak Boutique as easy as possible to navigate so that customers can find what they are looking for quickly. We're currently working on adding page numbers too as this has been one of our biggest requests, so we'll be adding this feature towards the beginning of October.

September is also the time when we start to add some great new designs to our collections, so there's some fabulous new additions coming to the site. Particularly hot this season is brightly coloured Gemstone jewellery and the new Friendship style bracelet trend. There's going to be lots of exciting new lines going on over the next few weeks in preparation for Christmas gift shopping so we'll make sure to keep you updated on all the new designs. Only 89 sleeps to go!! Can you believe it, where did the year go?!

So it's been a little while since our last update as we've been so busy updating the site! There have been a lot of new additions to Uneak this month including our detailed gemstone charts which are designed to help our customers with gift buying when looking for a gemstone for a particular anniversary, birth month or starsign. We have designed three charts – a Birthstone Chart, an Anniversary Chart and a Starsign Chart and they all link to a selection of recommended products set with the corresponding gemstones. Next month we'll be adding a 'gemstone meanings' feature which will detail more information on your chosen products and help you select your perfect gift!

Due to customer feedback, we've also condensed some of our ranges so there are now less jewellery collections but more stock in each of the remaining collections. Just so you're aware, our Hearts & Stars, Butterflies & Daisies, Celtic and Silver Rings jewellery has been moved to our Silver Jewellery collection. Our Crystal Jewellery and Cubic Zirconia designs have been added to our Gemstone Jewellery collection. We've also added a sorting system to each collection at the top of the page, so you can now search by price, colour, style and type. This should make finding jewellery items both faster and easier. Next month we'll be adding page numbers to the collections too. We're just so helpful here at Uneak! Anyway that's all we have to update you on this month but with Christmas right around the corner (dare we say it!) we'll have loads more new stuff coming up over the autumn/winter period. We've been updating ourD for diamond JewelleryCollection this week and we've pretty much doubled the amount of stock we have. We've added our first girls diamond studded watchdesign and some great Jewellery Boxes and mini Music Boxes too. We've also added a Christening Gifts category to our D for diamond collection which has a couple of lovely keepsake gifts and some gorgeous christening bangles. There's some new designs too for the little men in your life including pendants, bangles and cufflinks. It's a really special collection of children's jewellery, with each piece set with diamonds and some with gemstones too, all packaged up beautifully in our gorgeous D for diamond gift boxes. What gorgeous weather we've had this week, in between the heavy showers of course! Lets hope we're all heading for a hot and more settled summer! In the spirit of our quest for the sunshine, we've added some more beautiful summery turquoise designs, this time to our Gemstones Collection We've also added some lovely and unusual designs to our Keepsake Jewellery Collection perfect for that extra special present with a heartfelt sentiment. Hope you like them!

We were watching E News this morning and they were raving about how turquoise necklaces were huge for the summer! We have some gorgeous new additions to our Fiorelli Jewellery collection which features some stylish and pretty turquoise necklaces, turquoise earrings and turquoise bangles. We've gone turquoise crazy!! Take a look!

A sunny Hello! from all at Uneak Boutique in Newcastle. So, it's been a while since our last update and so much has gone on! We have a new and very welcome addition to our team - Ellen Wood, who joined us in March as a Website Assistant and she'll be looking after our Catwalk feature and updating the site each week with gorgeous new lines, paying particular attention to our Fiorelli Jewellery, Marcasite Jewellery and D for Diamond collections.

We've been adding to our collections to bringing some great new ranges to the site. These include our Animal Jewellery Collection, the Celtic Jewellery Collection and our gorgeous and girly Butterflies and Daisy Jewellery Collection . We've also expanded our some of our collections too and added some lovely new lines to our Charms range Absolutely Charming including a gorgeous range of sparkly crystal covered charms.

As usual we're adding great new jewellery lines each week and our New Arrivals area is the place to see all of our newest lines. Check it out!

Blog Update

Firstly A very Happy New Year to you all, as I write this on a fresh but beautiful Sunday morning! Hope you all had a good one and much chocolate and mulled wine was consumed! We had such a busy Christmas period it was crazy at times, but we took it all in our stride and battled on! We're real troopers!

Since our last blog in August so much has changed. The site is now averaging 10,000 visitors each month, double the amount from when we first launched, and this is growing steadily as we get a little savvier with our marketing. Many of our customers are coming back regularly now and we've had some amazing feedback, so a huge thank you to everyone who takes the time to drop us an email and tell us how much you love UB. It warms our hearts and gets us through some of our more challenging days! I think the top and bottom of it is, that we're obviously doing something right - great stock, fantastic service (goes without saying haha!) and we're told our prices are pretty good too so that's a great foundation for us to build on.

In September we opened The Last Chance Saloon. This is a section of the store where customers can pick up a bargain and something that won't be around for much longer. It's a kinda 'goin going gone' sort of thing so check it out next time you're passing and see if you can grab yourself something fabulous at a snip of the price!

In October we started adding the new Fiorelli collection which will take us through to spring 2011. There are some absolutely gorgeous designs and a lot more to come. We'll be adding new designs each week over the coming months and the New Arrivals tab will keep you posted on all our latest additions to this collection and all of the other collections too. The New Arrivals tab is a great way to quickly see all of the latest designs which have been added to the boutique, so it's a good idea to check it out weekly. We also added our 'D for diamond' kid's collection and this has been really popular too. Its beautifully packaged and great for special occasions and in this instance diamonds can also be a kid's best friend too!

We featured in some lovely glossy magazines during the Christmas period including Now, Elle and Best, plus Accent magazine did a great editorial piece on Uneak Boutique in October on our stacking rings collection. This year we'll be concentrating on marketing efforts online and aiming to get a lot further up the Google rankings system. Currently it's a long way up from where we are sitting but with what we have planned, we'll get there!

November was our busiest month to date but we still managed to get out and about, attending the Lumley Castle Christmas Fair, the first Rainton Meadows Arena Christmas Fair and many call centres across the North East including Northern Rock, AA, BA, Royal Mail and EDF Energy. This was also the month which we introduced our first handbag range presented by Peach Accessories. The handbags are truly beautiful and such great value. They are designed exclusively by Peach and many of the designs are hand stitched. We have started with a limited number of designs but hope to introduce more in the spring and we're also looking to take on other great designers such as Suzy Smith and Fiorelli in the very near future.

In December our figures soared with a massive 15,226 visits to the site, our most yet! The first few weeks of December also brought our largest percentage of male customers to the store which was lovely to see. From the feedback we've had, I think our gentlemen customers love how lazy our service is, with our pretty packaging and gift wrapping, it's all done for them. That along with how many brownie points it buys them! We also reached 478 fans on our Facebook page, not quite the 500 we were hoping for but we're almost there. We make a lot of sale announcements and site updates on FB so the fans here, along with our customer database, get to find out what's going on at UB first. We have a link on our homepage to our Facebook page and we need all the support we can get so we'd love you to join us! Simply click the Facebook icon and press Like! This was also the month when our lovely Kristina announced she was cooking baby no. 2, due in July! Don't worry though our wonderful Love Lily designer won't be out of action for long...we'll give her a few days off haha! We have plans to expand our small team and pick up the slack so it'll be business as usual!

So that's the last few months in a rather large nutshell! We have lots planned for the coming year, more fantastic new designs, a Weekly Special Offers section, new brands and collections, as well as the launch of our new site - Uneak Bridal, which we hope to complete very soon! The only other thing to add is a massive, massive THANK YOU to all of our wonderful loyal customer's right across the UK from Loch Lomond to London! You are all amazing and we promise to continue to deliver the prettiest stuff and best service in virtual shopping land ever!!

An Explosive Start!

Well, what an explosive start we've had! It has been a complete whirlwind and as I sit here in the warm sunshine taking a few minutes to chill out and reflect upon our introduction to cyberspace, I can't help but feel exceptionally proud! We had a massive response to our launch - everyone loved the real-time backgrounds and the "Around The World Shopping Experience" and the feedback we've had on our products and services has been fantastic! We've worked so hard mind you, so we can't help feeling it's very well deserved! Haha!

So far we've been featured in The Journal, More Magazine, Lifestyle Magazine and the local North East Advertisers and Ad-Venture Magazine which goes out across Gosforth, Jesmond and Sunderland. We'll be doing a bit more national advertising over the coming months with fashion ads in Now and Elle magazine which we're really excited about! And we're finally ranking high on Google too since it's stopped trying to correct the spelling of Uneak! Plus we have a featured advert on Yell.com and Qype so it's now much easier for everyone to find us. Soon we'll be everywhwere mwwwahhhhaaahhh!

Seriously though, there's so much more to come from us. We're continuing to add new stock each week and we've got some fabulous new lines coming in for the winter. Kris is also busy putting together a new range for Love Lily which will feature some bohemian, floral and chunky bead designs. We'll be planning for Christmas soon too! OMG! I know you don't even want to think about it! We'll have to give it some thought so we're prepared for the rush, although we do have Guyfawkes and Halloween first so don't worry, we won't be turning our Christmas lights on too soon!

We're opening our 'Last Chance Saloon' next week (w/c 9th August) which will feature all of the lines we're pulling off for the summer to make way for our new autumn/ winter collections. There'll be a limited number of stock for each line and they'll be greatly reduced in price, so it'll be first come first served at the Last Chance Saloon... Yeeehhaaaahh! We'll let you know as soon as we're open for visitors!

We've also made a few helpful tweaks to the store as well. We've moved our home button to the top left of the homepage (which is where you normally find that button on other sites) and we've replaced it with our new arrivals button so you can always see our newest lines first and all in one place. This was Kris's idea and I must say it's working very well and making those new lines easier for our Uneak family to find. Well done sis! If you do have any bug-bears with the site or changes/ additions you'd like to see, please let us know and we'll do our best to make the alterations for you.

We'll also be adding our designer brands over the coming months and we're starting with Fiorelli Costume Jewellery - gorgeous designs at great prices - and also the D is for Diamond brand which is a gorgeous and very posh kids range, great for special birthdays and christenings.
